At the end of May, we will be scaling down the number of parking meters along street parking at Haga, East and West of town.
The use of parking machines has dropped drastically since the option to pay via mobile was introduced, a payment method that is much appreciated by all who park. Generally, over 80% of our parking revenue is paid for via mobile phone.
That is why we are now choosing to thin out parking meters along Haga’s street area parking, West and East of the town and keep parking meters in strategic locations where the need is greatest.
We start work at the end of May and at every place where we remove a parking machine it will be replaced by an information sign that tells you where the nearest parking meter is located and how you can pay for parking with your mobile phone. If you choose to pay for parking at a parking meter, that parking ticket applies to all toll street parking in the yellow zone area.
